eFX 1:1 Scale Yoda Prototype

July 25th, 2014

Courtesy of Rebelscum’s photo gallery of the eFX booth at SDCC we received an unexpected treat. They had their 1:1 scale Yoda on display, albeit in prototype form. We’ve been waiting to see this ever since we first saw it mentioned at Comic-Con in 2012.  Actually we began to doubt it would ever be made, but we are certainly glad that we were wrong because it already looks amazing. Now we just can’t wait to see the finished product!

Click here for the full gallery which includes some other items as well as more shots of Yoda.

Yoda Life-Size Figure from Sideshow Collectibles

May 3rd, 2014

We’ve known this was coming since it was first revealed over the summer, but just did not know when.  Well now that question has been answered. This morning, as part of their May the Fourth Be With You celebration, Sideshow announced that this life-size Yoda is now available for pre-order with an expected shipping date of December 2014.  The price is $2,499 which can be paid all at once or spread out with a flex pay option.

Sideshow’s artists have perfectly captured the magic of Frank Oz’s original puppet in this magnificent replica, with features so realistic that you’ll expect him to spring to life at any moment. Standing 32 inches tall on a Dagobah themed environment base (complete with colorful morp critter), Sideshow’s life-size Yoda replica is a dream come true for any Star Wars collector!

The pictures of this are just stunning and we cannot wait to see the final product in person later this year.  Check it out or order one for yourself here.

The Clone Wars “The Lost Missions” coming to Netflix in March

February 13th, 2014

Just announced today that a final 13 episode season of The Clone Wars will premiere exclusively on Netflix on March 7th.  In addition all the episodes from the first five seasons – including director’s cut extended episodes – will also be available. We were sad to see the show end so we are definitely excited to see these episodes. Of course it is even better for us since it does look like part of this group will be the Yoda arc that we mentioned previously.  The first official sneak-peek – shown below – features Yoda receiving a “visit” of sorts from an old friend.  To read the release on StarWars.com click this link.
